Telesales Representative

DPI Specialty Foods, a market leader in the food distribution industry, currently has an opening for an experienced Telesales Representative II.

Makes and receives phone calls to increase sales with new and existing customers.  Must maintain a 5% or less pass rate and meet stated sales goals.  This position is challenged to manage and drive sales into their accounts and provide customer support by resolving customer issues and problems utilizing all available resources; monitor their accounts and communicate findings to the Account Executive as it relates to spoils, sales increases/decreases, pricing, unauthorized items, rejections in receiving, and new sales opportunities.  Provide support for special sales programs and commitments such as the Food Show, Seasonal Bakery, Fly-In (Imports) and Special Order Items.  Attend all sales related appointments such as Monthly Departmental Meetings, Company Sales Meetings, Product Training, store functions and other retail appointments as requested.   The ideal candidate will follow through on survey requirements, new item cut-ins, and recalled products as well as assist the Account Executive as needed with retail paperwork, distros, training opportunities, etc. 

*     Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures for Telesales and Customer Service

*     Must have excellent communications and interpersonal skills and be dedicated to customer service

*     Must have Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel and Access

*     Must be self motivated and ethical

*     Must possess time management, goal setting and problem solving skills 

*     Must have strong attention to detail

*     Must have good organizational skills and the ability to work independently yet function effectively as part of a team 

*     Must have 2-3 years prior Grocery Sales and/or Merchandising experience 

*     10-key by touch required
