Food Service/Inside Sales Representative

DPI Specialty Foods, the Northwest's leading Specialty Foods Distributor, currently seeks a Food Service/Inside Sales Representative to receive and process/edit food service orders for Retail sales staff via telephone, fax, and email.

• Associates degree or equivalent; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two years experience required.
• Experience in the food industry preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to be on the phone for long periods of time.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.

• Receive and process food service orders.
• Process special item orders.
• Provide assistance to retail sales staff.
• Assist customers and provide information regarding prices, shipping dates or anticipated delays, out of stocks, and suggestive sells.
• Assist with will-call orders.
• Recommend substitute items for out of stock items.
• Work closely with warehouse personnel, drivers, and buyers.
• Sort and file miscellaneous paperwork.

Position starts at $13.00 hourly. Full benefit package available after 3 months of employment; medical, dental, vision, 401k, section 125 flexible spending account, disability insurance, life insurance, and paid Holidays/Floating Holidays/Vacation/Sick Days.
