Information Systems Manager

DPI Specialty Foods, a market leader in the food distribution industry, currently has an opening for an experienced Information Systems Manager.

This position provides for information technology and systems support to the business division. The Manager is the coordination point between the division and corporate IT team. The manager develops relationships with and an understanding of corporate and local/regional business needs and priorities and coordinates with DPI Corporate and local resources to provide solutions that meet those needs.
 

• BA/BS degree in MIS or related field required
• Knowledge of the Consumer Goods industry or Food Distribution and best practices, technologies, business functions and processes;
• Knowledge of general Oracle ERP concepts, systems, software solutions and business modules;
• Demonstrable experience working with Oracle reporting tools including Discoverer and XML Publisher;
• Comfortable working with all levels of management, including senior corporate executives, providing data analysis, reporting, and general IT support;
• Comfortable working semi autonomously, providing direct support to the divisional business team;
• Thorough knowledge of desktop, personal computer and personal technologies support;
• Has demonstrated success in managing a departmental budget, achieving cost management objectives and maintaining appropriate cost controls;
• Mentors others and provides guidance on the attainment of required skills and knowledge and on achieving business objectives; Must be an effective communicator, having excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

• Have an expert understanding of industry best practices relating to information systems and the iplementation of business technology solutions
• Determine, articulate and protect business benefits through the adoption of improved processes and technology
• Provide exceptional customer service to the business clients within his/her division, fielding troubleshooting calls, desktop support issues, general networking issues and providing coaching/mentoring to end users on the proper usage and capabilities of DPI systems
• Develop an operational plan in support of the DPI systems used at the division
• Coordinate with Corporate IT in the implementation of technology solutions
• Provide for ad hoc information queries using tools such as Oracle Discoverer, Oracle OBIEE and XML Publisher for operational, sales and financial purposes
• Provide support for the DPI Oracle implementation effort
• Be responsible for performance, cost, scope, schedule, quality, and appropriate business measurements of projects and IT activities
• Manage a departmental budget, controlling IT costs including resources, service and support and equipment costs
• Foster team development to achieve goals by coaching and performance management
