Company History

DPI has a long history, which chronicles the growth, combination and evolution of several different specialty food companies spanning three quarters of a century. Some had very modest beginnings, offering their products with pride and confidence at local markets before achieving national prominence. In the 1990s, the Irish Dairy Board of Dublin, Ireland, purchased the private holdings that comprised the five regions of DPI Rocky Mountain, DPI Northwest, DPI West, DPI Midwest and DPI Mid Atlantic. Recently, these divisions of DPI have been fully integrated to ensure the seamless supply and support of all our products.
