Regional Promotion Sales Supervisor

 Job Summary

This position is responsible for creating and driving promotions.  The incumbent is expected to create selling opportunities as a result of obtaining strong promotions from the vendors and brokers.   The goal is to coordinate these selling opportunities with the Purchasing and Sales functions to create a result that both DPI and the vendor are satisfied with.  This position will analyze and measure individual and group performance against these promotional opportunities to determine the effectiveness of the sales result.  Both incoming promotions and the resulting sales result are to be tracked by vendor and by selling individuals/group.

 Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the specialty food business
  • A strong working knowledge of the local/national vendor and broker community is essential
  • Must also have an understanding of how various promotions work
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills are a must
  • Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Access, and especially Excel
  • The ability to multi task and exceptional organizational skills
  • A sense of urgency in your day to day activities is required
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to manage and prioritize tasks
  • The ability to work independently and produce high quality deliverables on time is required
  • Ability to travel
